Bearings with Shields or Seals
In addition to open-type base bearings, sealed bearings are available for applications where relubrication is difficult. Types include:
· Bearings with one or two shields (designated Z, 2Z).
· Bearings with one or two non-contact seals (designated RZ, 2RZ).
· Bearings with one or two contact seals (designated RS1, 2RS1).
These bearings are suitable for low-speed applications. They are pre-lubricated with an appropriate amount of grease during manufacturing and do not require cleaning or relubrication during installation. The grease provides rust prevention and sealing. These bearings are widely used in various machinery, especially in harsh environments where built-in sealing is required. The grease fill quantity depends on the bearing size and operating conditions, typically occupying 25% to 35% of the internal free space.
Bearings with Snap Rings or Grooves
Deep groove ball bearings with snap ring grooves or snap rings on the outer ring are available. These bearings simplify housing design by allowing the bearing to be axially secured in the housing using a snap ring. They are preferred when installation space is limited. The corresponding snap ring dimensions are listed in the bearing dimension tables.
Low-Noise Bearings
Low-noise bearings are available, such as:
· Acceleration-level low-noise bearings with suffix codes Z1, Z2, Z3.
· Ultra-low-noise bearings with suffix code Z4, suitable for quiet operation in applications like air conditioner motors.
· Velocity-level low-noise bearings with suffix codes V1, V2, V3.
Various combinations of deep groove ball bearings can be customized based on user requirements. Bearings are available in different tolerance classes and vibration groups.
Dimensions
The dimensions of the basic bearing types listed in the dimension tables conform to ISO 15:1981. The dimensions of snap ring grooves and snap rings comply with ISO 464:1976.
Angular Misalignment
Single-row deep groove ball bearings have limited ability to accommodate angular misalignment. The maximum permissible angular misalignment between the inner and outer rings depends on the operating radial clearance, bearing size, internal design, and the forces and moments acting on the bearing. The maximum allowable misalignment should ensure that no excessive additional stresses are generated within the bearing. Due to the complex relationship between these factors, the exact value of the maximum permissible angular misalignment is difficult to specify. However, under normal operating conditions, it is approximately 2 to 10 arcminutes.
It should be noted that angular misalignment between the inner and outer rings during operation will significantly increase noise levels. Double-row deep groove ball bearings can only accommodate angular misalignment of up to 2 arcminutes. Greater misalignment will increase the load on the balls and raceways, potentially reducing bearing service life.
Tolerances
Standard deep groove ball bearings are manufactured to P0 tolerance class. Higher-precision bearings, such as P6, P5, P4, and P2, are also available.
Radial Internal Clearance
Standard deep groove ball bearings are supplied with C0 group clearance. Bearings with greater or smaller clearances than the standard group are also available. Double-row deep groove ball bearings have standard radial internal clearance.
Back-to-back or face-to-face paired bearings are typically supplied in the following two configurations:
· Small axial clearance (suffix code CA).
· Light preload (suffix code GA).
These are available in series 60, 62, and 63.
